Bilingual Receptionist

Full-time job

Duties include but not limited to answering phones, creating-opening-maintaining files, meeting with clients, managing the office calendar. Requirements: bilingual (Spanish and English); excellent communication skills, ability to multitask, responsible and confidential. Work is Monday through Friday with rare weekend work, 8:30am to 5:30pm with some overtime required.

Bilingual Legal Assistant/Paralegal

Full-time job

Duties include but not limited to meeting with clients, writing motions, complaints, answers, and trial prep, primarily in the areas of Domestic Relations, Juvenile, Criminal and Immigration. Salary based on Education and experience.

Duties

· Calendar all hearings, meetings, reminders, deadlines, etc. - CORRECTLY

· Follow up with clients to confirm presence at hearings, providing needed documents

· Follow up with courts to confirm interpreter and confirm all necessary documents have been filed

· Physical/Electronic File organization

- Create sub-files

- Scan ALL documents/material/correspondence

- Correctly name files

- Place EVERY document in correct sub-file

- Label and organize physical documents

- Create binders as needed

· Client Communication - Email/phone/meetings

· Service of Pleadings - Fax/email/mail filings copying all counsel

· Review case material for inconsistencies

· Calculate Child Support, etc.

· Maintain “to do” list, follow up relentlessly

· Copy litigation staff on all client/court/OC communications

· Help prepare files for hearings

· Help maintain case status list


Preferred: 2 or 4 year paralegal certificate or degree or 2+years work experience as a paralegal/legal assistant; excellent communication skills, ability to multitask, responsible and confidential. Work is Monday through Friday with rare weekend work, 8:30am to 5:30pm with some overtime required. Paid time off, paid holidays, 401-K.
